Milestone M40 – Cluster upgrade, smarter builds, and billing enhancements

Platform Upgrades

• NeetoDeploy Cluster Upgrade (Phased Rollout)

  We’re rolling out a major cluster upgrade for NeetoDeploy. As part of a phased approach, NeetoCI was upgraded first as a pilot. This sets the stage for a more robust, scalable infrastructure across all NeetoDeploy services.

Onboarding Enhancements

• Revamped Review App Onboarding Flow

  The onboarding flow for Review Apps has been redesigned to mirror the production onboarding experience—making it more intuitive and user-friendly.

• Procfile No Longer Mandatory

  We’ve removed the hard dependency on Procfile. Users can now define custom processes directly from the app dashboard. If a Procfile is present, its entries are still used to populate the process list during onboarding, offering a flexible hybrid approach.

Build System Improvements

• Build Time Optimization (In Progress)

  We’ve updated the build node AMI so that essential images are preloaded when a node boots up. This reduces the overall build processing time—currently being rolled out.

• Improved Build Logs

  Customized the Pack CLI and lifecycle image to clean up build logs. Logs are now significantly more readable and developer-friendly, eliminating noise from default messages and internal system logs.

• Build Log Download Option

  Users can now download build logs as a text file from the dashboard—making it easier to debug and share issues during development.

• Build Log & Release Failure Summary via Claude (POC Completed)

  Completed a proof of concept to generate AI-powered summaries of build logs and release failures using Claude. This will help users understand issues more quickly and take informed action.

Billing System & Free Tier Updates

• Invoice UI Revamp

  The billing interface has been redesigned for clarity, and invoices are now also available as downloadable PDFs for convenience and record-keeping.

• Free Tier Workflow (In Progress)

  We’ve begun implementing a $5 credit-based free tier for every new organization. Once the credit is used, all apps will be paused. In the next phase, users will be able to resume apps by adding a credit card.
